Covid- 19 has brought new challenges to the 2.7 million people in the UK that don’t have access to the internet and Community Reconnect aims to support the elderly community to reconnect with their families and friends in the digital world. The beneficiaries will learn new digital smartphone skills which will enable them to communicate using modern technology. The need to digitally empower the elderly generation has never been more crucial than now. Community Reconnect will make a difference in people’s lives by allowing them to build their online skills and access online community services and reconnect with family and friends.
What can we help with…
Each beneficiary receives a non-commital sim with free data, text, calls and a new smartphone by Nokia and access to free digital skills training. We have already provided smartphones in the lockdown and now we will continue to help those that face barriers. Technology touches everyone, everywhere, and we want to be part of helping those who need it most!
The Aishah Helps Community Reconnect Fund has been set up only to help those who are digitally excluded. You will need to satisfy the following criteria:
– You can clearly demonstrate that you currently do not have access to the internet
– You do not have a smartphone or access to one
– You are a resident of Greater London
What happens if I do not meet your criteria?

What happens after I have submitted an online application form?
If you have submitted all the information required, and your application is successful, we will contact you. If you have not heard from us, unfortunately your application has not been successful. Therefore it is very important that you submit all the information requested. Our staff and volunteer are working hard to meet the high demand for help from this fund.
We will always store your personal details securely. We will use them to provide the service that you have requested, and communicate with you in the way(s) that you have agreed to. Your data may also be used for analysis purposes, to help us improve our services and communicate with you most effectively. We will only allow your information to be used by suppliers working on our behalf and we will only share it to deliver a service to you or if required to do so by law. This fund is intended to support people who are unable to receive support from other benevolent funds. If you receive support from the Aishah Help Fund and you knowingly do not meet our criteria you will be depriving someone in need of vital support.
